Survivors
The Empowered Survivors Community is a private Facebook group that provides a safe space where we connect with and support one another as we heal. I learned through my healing journey how important it is to have a support team that includes people who understand you because they, too, have had similar experiences. So, I created this community to be that safe space.
The Empowered Survivors Community is for any survivor of trauma and abuse who is ready to take their healing journey or who is already on their pathway. Because trauma and abuse know no demographic boundaries, there are no boundaries to who is invited to join this community. You’re in the right place if you’re a survivor ready to HEAL.
“Trauma knows no demographic boundaries. It doesn’t care who you are or where you come from. Neither age, gender, race, religion, or socioeconomic status can protect you from trauma and survivorship. The only way to protect yourself from unhealthy survivorship—and end your suffering—is to heal.” - Beth Jones
Supporting the Empowered Survivors Community, you’ll see me share:
- Inspirational messages and quotes that I love!
- Raw video as my healing journey continues - I do a lot of processing when I move.
- Links to my writing about my ongoing experiences with learning in my HEAL framework - I’m always going to be evolving, and for sure, I’m not done with Love.
- Sneak peeks and early access as my work continues to evolve.
Supporting the Empowered Survivors Community, members are invited to:
- Post uplifting and inspirational messaging.
- Share anything from small wins to major breakthroughs and advancement in your healing, details or no details.
- Ask for, or ask questions about, resources and tools to aide in your healing journey.
- Link resources and tools that work for you, such as support groups, providers, therapy modalities, spiritual guides, and books.
“... survivors need to talk about what happened to them in a safe environment with people with shared experiences and, therefore, compassion and empathy for one another. Sharing with other survivors about similar traumas helps us know we are not alone. I’ve said it before, and I’ll repeat it: while it sucks to know we have groups like this—because so many of us have suffered abuse—it’s comforting to find others who understand and share in our healing.” - Beth Jones
