Beth Jones is on her
"second mountain" as she follows her life’s calling and pursues her passion for helping other survivors of trauma and abuse to heal.

Beth Jones - Empowered Survivor

After a life-altering event that sent Beth Jones on a multi-year healing journey to recover from her trauma and survivorship, she wrote her book Becoming an Empowered Survivor: You, Too, Can Heal from Trauma And Abuse as an account of her experiences. Her embedded message to other survivors is that you, too, can heal.

Scorpio Rising: Born to Help Us Heal

Astrologically, our natal chart maps the sky at the exact time and location we were born. It’s a map of our life based on the influence of celestial bodies from our vantage point when we came into the world. How we behave, how people perceive us, what we are good at, and our life’s purpose—including the challenges and opportunities we face—are part of this map.

I’m gifted to have been born a double Scorpio, both in Scorpio and with Scorpio rising as my ascendant. Scorpio Rising, my pseudonym, means my sun sign for my birth date, October 26, is Scorpio. Scorpio was also the rising sign when and where I came into this world. I see myself and my life in almost everything I study more broadly about Scorpio, Scorpio Rising, and my natal chart.

Scorpio is powerful in every way—emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. My powerful component is hard to wrap my head around; enter my inner critic. But I know my power is for good, not evil, which makes this easier for me to accept. Looking back over what I’ve survived, I can see my strength and power.

Working with real power is an awesome and humbling gift. What I do with my power—whether using it for myself, perhaps in a dark way, or for the greater good of my fellow humans—is influenced by the full extent of my natal chart, my spirituality, and the choices I make each day.

Scorpio Traits

Scorpio deals with sexual energy—including sexual karma and sexual betrayal—death and money, all of which I have experience with. I’ve survived sexual abuse, and I live in a family healing from its consequences. I’ve dealt with the fraudulent disappearance (theft) of money professionally. And I’ve encountered plenty of death through the animals and pets I’ve lost. And then, I faced the unexpected death of my aunt. More profoundly, however, I’ve experienced my metaphoric death, rebirth, and transformation.

Scorpio is about secrets and this world's darkness, shadows, and ugly underbelly. Much of my and my family's suffering came from long-held secrets covering up truths that no one wanted to talk about. Secrets also showed up big in my professional life because most of what I investigated was buried. Surely, you’re not shocked by the news that fraudsters try to be secretive. They failed when I was around!

Scorpio is a natural problem-solver and knows how to discover what isn’t being exposed or the way forward to a solution. Just as I spent thirty years professionally uncovering the facts and exposing the truth, I’m also doing this for myself—uncovering familial secrets and the facts about what I’ve survived, exposing the truth about who I am, and telling it publicly for the good that my story offers to other survivors.

Scorpio Rising brings light to darkness, spurred forward often by childhood trauma. As a developed Scorpio Rising, we look at our own shadow, or darkness, and love it. We dig in to learn more and give our discoveries over to the greater good of humanity. This is exactly how I see myself.

My Scorpio Rising is a communicator, a minister, and a wounded healer—with unconditional love and a deep understanding of and respect for emotions. I’m here to help people recover from the impact of complex problems shaping who they are and how they live. These include generational curses, familial trauma, and sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.

I’m on this Earth to understand the gamut of human emotion personally and use my experience to help others as they bring light to their darkness. Not to alter or adjust what we have experienced, but to learn to love it, accept it, and thereby heal.

I’m healing myself first, and then, through self-exposure to my healing and loving, I’m here to help people find value in their journey—discovering what they don’t know, what is hidden within them, what they are afraid of, and what they are denying. I desire to help people heal those parts within themselves through
love

I am here, as Scorpio Rising, to help you HEAL.
