The Soul Inspired Podcast
This was such a soul inspired conversation with host Joe Borowsky.
Highlights from our talk include:
- Early on in my journey two of my primary survival mechanisms, dissociation and being a busy-holic in chaos, distracted me from my need to heal and kept me from engaging with therapy, even though I had an unspecific but innate need to get help.
- Learning to accept myself as a survivor and getting the vocabulary I need to describe adequately my trauma and how I have survived.
- The body keeps score and the importance of using a variety of healing modalities. Healthy survival mechanisms—e.g., therapy and the arts—to take a holistic approach to releasing emotions for the good of our overall health and emotional well-being.
- Why do I believe we are here on earth?: Our physical forms are here to complete a task, which is this chapter of my soul’s work over many lifetimes. In each lifetime, I believe we are working to be a better version of ourselves than we were in our previous lifetimes.
